  • INFORMATION: It will be interesting to look back and see just how much damage this set did to the GPK brand. Without getting too far into it, there was supposed to be a 6th piece of artwork in this set featuring K-Pop band BTS. Unfortunately the artwork (featuring the band members beat up and bruised) raised a lot of concerns and controversy due to the rise in Asian hate crimes in the United States at the time of release. Topps did the right thing and pulled the card from the set (and I will not be picturing it here), but the damage had been done and the backlash was far-reaching resulting in Topps pulling all GPK releases throughout the month of March (and into April).
The fifth set from Topps poking fun at the Grammy Awards ultimately contained 10 cards making fun of such artists as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, and more. This set was available for a limited time and could only be purchased directly from the Topps website
Card names and artists for the set were as follows:
1ab - Tree-SWIFT/Taylor TURF (art by David Gross)
    2ab - U.F. BRUNO/LARS Mars (art by Brent Engstrom)
3ab - Buoyant BILLIE/Island EILISH (art by Joe Simko)
4ab - Medalling MEGAN/Stunning STALLION (art by Neil Camera)
5ab - HARRY Boa/Wild STYLES (art by Brent Engstrom)
  • PRINT RUN: According to information released on the Topps blog, the release sold a total of 1426 SETS
