In July, 2020, Garbage Pail Kids collectors were introduced to CHALLENGE COINS! From the mind of "The Goldbergs" creator Adam F. Goldberg, and Entertainment Impresario Louis “Uncle Louie” Gregory, these coins burst onto the scene and instantly became the hottest item to get!

Anyone who has ever seen 'The Goldbergs' is well-aware of Adam's love of Garbage Pail Kids, as they are prominently-featured on his show. So in celebration of GPK's 35th Anniversary Adam decided to work with Louis Gregory to create a unique collectible.
From Adam Goldberg:

"Aside from being an obsessive GPK fan, I’m also a long time challenge coin collector. I am thrilled that Topps was open to the idea of merging my two favorite hobbies!"

A challenge coin may be a small coin or medallion, bearing an organization's insignia or emblem and carried by the organization's members. Traditionally, they might be given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale.

All of the officially licensed Garbage Pail Kids coins were manufactured by Leo Challenge Coins, and sold through the GPKNation website. Throughout 2020 GPKNation released a number of different coins, pins, patches, and more. Continue reading below for more information, and pictures of each major release

The pins were available in both black and 'misty gold', resulting in a master set of 10 pins.
