LEAKY LINDSAY

Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 1
- Height: 1 5/16"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: HIGH
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright date on the back of Lindsay: '1986' and '1986'
- Color Variations (to date): Leaky Lindsay is known to exist in all 20 colors.
- Facts & Observations: In addition to being located in what is considered the complete 20 color set, Lindsay has also popped up in a couple of 2nd Series colors as well. There is photographic evidence of a Leaky Lindsay in '2nd Series' Yellow, as well as '2nd Series' Green.
BRAINY JANIE

| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 2
- Height: 1 1/2"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: MEDIUM
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the word 'GUM' in the copyright stamp on the back of Janey: 'GUM' and 'GUIv'
- Color Variations (to date): Brainy Janey is known to exist in 18 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered are Cinnamon & Canadian Aqua.
- Facts & Observations: Obviously the first difference one will notice with Janey is that she is not sitting down as depicted on her card. I did however give her sculpt a 'MEDIUM' accuracy grade due to the fact that the detail is great and really captures the personality of the card image. Another interesting observation is that her name is spelled differently on the Cheap Toy checklist than it was on the issued sticker ('Janie' vs 'Janey').
ADAM BOMB

 |
 |
| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 3
- Height: 1 7/16"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: LOW
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright stamp on the back of Adam: 'Lower-back' and 'Upper-back'
- Color Variations (to date): Adam Bomb is known to exist in 19 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered is Canadian Aqua.
- Facts & Observations: Choosing to do Adam Bomb as a Cheap Toy was a great idea, but the second they made him standing up as opposed to his trademark sitting stance, they failed. Making the decision to have some sculpts stand vs. sit didn't completely destroy their 'feel' (see Janey, Megan, etc)...however messing with Adam's stance changes everything. If adam were to have been modeled off his card-image, it would have been one of the most unique (and sought-after) sculpts created. Another item of note, is (like Leaky Lindsay) there is photographic evidence of a Adam Bomb in '2nd Series' Yellow.
ALICE ISLAND

| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 4
- Height: 1 7/16"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: HIGH
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright stamp on the top of Alice's head: '1986' and '4986'
- Color Variations (to date): Alice Island is known to exist in 19 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered is UK Blue.
- Facts & Observations: A common misconception about Alice and her sculpt variations is that some people consider a 'Sunken Head' Alice to be a sculpt variation (just how it sounds - the top of her head is domed inward - or sunken). I consider these to be more of a factory error and not a true variation. Also, people commonly mistake the shape at the bottom of the trash bag as part of the bag that has been tied shut - when in actuality it is garbage falling out as depicted in the artwork. Lastly, Alice is the only character of the 10 Series 1 sculpts NOT to be depicted on the Cheap Toy box.

Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 5
- Height: 1 3/8"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: HIGH
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright stamp on the top of Brett's head: 'With (c)' and 'Without (c)'
- Color Variations (to date): Brett Sweat is known to exist in all 20 colors.
- Facts & Observations: Nothing really special or unique about this figure. It is an excellent modeling of a fairly boring card.

- Checklist #: 6
- Height: 1 5/16"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: MEDIUM
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright stamp on Heather: 'Lower-back' and 'Arm'
- Color Variations (to date): Double Heather is known to exist in 18 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered are Cinnamon & Canadian Aqua.

CRATER CHRIS
 |
 |
 |
| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 7
- Height: 1 3/8"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: HIGH
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations of the copyright stamp on Chris: 'Centered' and 'Off-Centered'
- Color Variations (to date): Crater Chris is known to exist in all 20 colors.
- Facts & Observations: Crater Chris is a great example of how all of the Series 1 Cheap Toys should have been handled: take a good card and make the sculpt look just like it. Aside from Brett Sweat, Chris is about as close to the card image as possible.
GRAFFITI PETEY
 |
 |
 |
| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 8
- Height: 1 3/8"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: LOW
- Sculpt Variations: There are two different variations on the left arm of Petey: '3 Bumps' and 'No Bumps'
- Color Variations (to date): Graffiti Petey is known to exist in 19 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered is Salmon.
- Facts & Observations: A quick glance at the images above make it clear that the artists took some serious creative liberty when creating the Petey Cheap Toy. The card depicts a vandal, spray-painting a wall - however they chose to make the sculpt with Petey standing stiffly with his hand in his pocket!? This change really affects the feel of the character. A further sign of Topps' lack of attention to Petey would be the fact they spelled 'Graffiti' incorrectly on the cheklist!
MUGGIN' MEGAN
 |
 |
 |
| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 9
- Height: 1 1/2"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: MEDIUM
- Sculpt Variations: There are two variations to the right pig-tail on the back of Megan's head: 'Normal' and 'Flat spot'
- Color Variations (to date): Muggin' Megan is known to exist in 19 of the 20 colors. Yet undiscovered is Cinnamon.
- Facts & Observations: Even though Topps continued their trend of taking 'seated-GPK's' and modeling them standing up, it didn't affect Megan's personality too much. They captured the face perfectly. I also find it interesting that if you look at the back of the sculpt, they decided to give Megan pig-tails! Looking at the card, I NEVER pictured Megan having pig-tails!
THIN LYNN
 |
 |
 |
| Card Image |
Checklist Image |
Sculpt Image |
- Checklist #: 10
- Height: 1 5/8"
- 'Card-to-Sculpt' Accuracy: HIGH
- Sculpt Variations: There are two variations to the copyright stamp on Lynn's diaper: '2-folds' and '3-folds'
- Color Variations (to date): Thin Lynn is known to exist in all 20 colors.
- Facts & Observations: Despite being extremely hard to stand-up, Lynn is a favorite amongst collectors for her amazing detail and likeness to her card image. Also, like Leaky Lindsay, there is photographic evidence showing Thin Lynn in '2nd Series' Green.
