UNOPENED BONUS CARD COLLECTION

This page is dedicated to my collection of Bonus Boxes and Blister Packs released as part of the All-New Series 2 through All-New Series 7 Garbage Pail Kids releases. Topps created a new kind of packaging after the release of ANS1 called 'Bonus Boxes'. These boxes typically held 10 packs of cards, as well as a 'Bonus Card'. These cards were not part of the 80 card base set, however were an additional card that started with the letter 'b'. These boxes were mainly sold at WalMart and Target stores across the country. The different chains would carry different boxes (differentiated by their price tags), making it necessary for collector's to visit a wide variety of stores in order to obtain each Bonus card. The bonus boxes were a good product for Topps, as some of the boxes became extremely scarce, causing collector's to spend in some cases over $200/box!
For the ANS4 through 7 releases, Topps created 'Blister Packs' that featured anywhere from 2-4 packs of cards in addition to 1 bonus sticker. These were also sold at the same stores mentioned above. Unlike the boxes, there was no way to tell the blister packs apart, so the only way to tell which sticker was inside was to 'shake' the packs around. Eventually, the bonus sticker would become visible enough to see the number.
